The Denver Post Community Foundation

The Denver Post Community Foundation, a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency, raises funds through individual and corporate donations, through six unique Signature Events and Programs, including the annual holiday campaign Season To Share. The overall mission is to improve and enrich the lives of those in our community through support of programs that benefit arts and culture; children and youth; education and literacy; and the provision of basic human services. Since inception in 2011, over $4,886,750.00 has been raised and distributed. Many thanks to our partners and to the thousands of donors and event participants over the years who have helped to improve and enrich the lives of those in our community.

  • Signature Events and Programs:

These well-established events and programs have become staples in the community with many lasting over 30 years. They offer partners, participants and volunteers something unique each year. They include: Ride The Rockies and Pedal The Plains Bicycle Tours, Pen & Podium, Passport To The Arts, and the Colorado State Spelling Bee.

Thanks to our 3,900 donors and a generous match from Denver Active 20-30 Children’s Foundation, $1,400,000 has been granted to 55 nonprofit organizations in metro Denver that all provide life-changing programs to help low-income children, families and adults move out of poverty toward stabilization and self-sufficiency. These dedicated agencies work tirelessly to prepare children and youth for success in the classroom and in life, protect children and families in need with medical care, house families and individuals in need of a permanent home, and nourish those who experience hunger.
