The Denver Post Pen & Podium Welcomes Bill Bryson

World renowned author, Bill Bryson was the featured guest at The Denver Post Pen & Podium literary series on March 7, 2016 at the beautiful Newman Center for the Performing Arts. After a sold-out VIP reception and taping of this exclusive Backstage@PP interview, Mr. Bryson had our Pen & Podium subscribers laughing all evening by sharing stories of his life and reading excerpts from his famous books which include A Walk in The Woods and A Short History of Nearly Everything. He graciously signed books and continued to share stories following his lecture.

At each Pen & Podium lecture a Colorado nonprofit organization is recognized with a $5,000 grant from The Denver Post Community Foundation. This event featured Reach Out and Read Colorado for their work in promoting literacy by partnering with health care providers and providing age-appropriate books to children at well-child visits from 6 months to 5 years of age. Reach Out and Read Colorado prepares children for school and encourages a lifelong love of reading.
