Congratulations to Jefferson County Library Foundation

On March 12, we had the distinct pleasure to welcome Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright and screenwriter, Tony Kushner as our esteemed guest for The Denver Post Pen & Podium Series. Tony is best known for his two-part epic, “Angels In America: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes.” The evening was set up as an onstage conversation with Tony Kushner moderated by Jeffrey Neuman, an award winning playwright and Pen & Podium Literary Events coordinator. In addition to an entertaining conversation, Tony helped present a $5,000 grant to the Jefferson County Library Foundation, and to everyone’s delight, he generously offered to match the grant, saying he was thrilled there was a charitable piece to the evening!
