Season To Share

Together we are making a difference for our neighbors in need!

Thanks to the kindness of 3,400 donors, a generous matching funds grant from The Denver Children’s Foundation, the dedicated partnership of MDC/Richmond American Homes Foundation, and a large gift from an anonymous donor – $1,565,000 has been distributed to 62 nonprofit organizations in metro Denver.

These nonprofit agencies strengthen metro Denver by nourishing those who experience hunger, housing families and individuals in need of a permanent home, preparing children and youth for success in the classroom and in life, and protecting children and families in need with medical care.

In case you missed the grantee stories featured in The Sunday Denver Post and online over the past campaign, you can read about them and their important work in the community by clicking here to visit the Season To Share page on

The Denver Post Season To Share is the annual holiday fundraising campaign for The Denver Post Community Foundation, a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, tax identification #27-4328521. Grants are made possible from the generosity of Denver Post readers, the general public, generous partnerships and corporate donations.

Originally established in 1992, as a fund of the Robert R. McCormick Foundation, more than $69 million was distributed through this partnership to improve the lives of those in need across metro Denver. In 2017, Season To Share became a program of The Denver Post Community Foundation. Through The Denver Post Season To Share, grants are made to local nonprofit organizations with programs that provide the vital support and services to the metro Denver community. Denver Active 20-30 Children’s Foundation has been the matching partner since the 2019/20 campaign. In 2021/22, $1.700,000 was granted to 51 agencies; in 2020/21, $1,770,000 was granted to 52 agencies and in 2019/20, $1,400,000 was granted to 55 agencies. For the 2017/18 and 2018/19 campaigns, DaVita served as the matching partner, where more than $3,000,000 was distributed.
