AMP The Cause – Orchestrating Change for Coloradans in Need

AMP the Cause is a Denver-based nonprofit organization that improves the lives of families through entertainment, annual events and community service projects. They raise critical health and education funds, generate awareness of local charities, use monetary and in-kind donations to help children with life-threatening illnesses, and provide opportunities for kids to participate in educational programs in a safe and healthy environment. Since Christie and Walter Isenberg founded AMP the Cause – formerly Concerts for Kids – in 2004, the organization has distributed more than $5 million in monetary and in-kind donations to their beneficiaries.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 27 – Denver Day of Rock! This free one-of-a-kind music festival is presented by Amp the Cause and unites the community in an effort to raise funds and awareness for local children’s charities. The event takes place in downtown Denver near the 16th Street Mall. Twenty-five local, regional, and national performances will take place on 5 different stages.

Amp the Cause just completed another of their great events – Community Day on Saturday, May 20, which annually brings together 1,000s of volunteers to help at more than 50 nonprofit locations throughout Denver. Amp the Cause provides everything needed for the projects. The Denver Post ACTS (Assisting the Community Through Service) employee volunteers and their family and friends (pictured above) volunteered at Mile High Early Learning – Northeast Center where they painted, weeded, pruned trees, built a raised garden and assembled furniture.

The Denver Post Community is a proud supporter of AMP the Cause. To learn more about Denver Day of Rock and all of AMP the Cause’s programs and events, click here.
