Volunteerism is Part of Our Culture – 2016 Employee Service Projects Announced

Volunteerism is rooted in The Denver Post’s culture, because we believe when we volunteer our time, money, or talents, we help make our world a better, happier place where people work together and improve life for others. Giving back is an enriching experience for all involved and our employees take pride in donating their personal time for a wide range of projects each year. The Denver Post is proud to offer its employee volunteer program ACTS, Assisting the Community Through Service, as a year-round opportunity to make a difference.
In 2016, our employees will help make a difference at Florence Crittenton Services during Amp The Cause’s Community Day; for the Denver Public Library Friends Foundation setting up their Summer Used Book Sale; for Denver Public Schools through a company wide school supply drive; by helping with theSpecial Olympics Colorado Adams County Bowling Tournament; by sorting and reclaiming donations at Food Bank of the Rockies; and last but not least by making and delivering fruit baskets for isolated seniors through Basket of Joy.

Thank You For Your Generosity! More Than $1,525,000 Raised Through Season To Share

Thanks to the generous support of our community, $2,290,000 will be distributed this year through Season To Share, a campaign of Denver Post Charities, a McCormick Foundation Fund!
A total of $1,525,000 was contributed thanks to more than 4,950 gifts from our thoughtful donors. The McCormick Foundation generously added $760,000 with their 50% match, making it possible for grants totaling $2,290,000 to be awarded to local charities this summer. With The Denver Post and the McCormick Foundation covering all expenses, 100% of all donations, plus the match will be granted to local nonprofits with programs addressing child & youth education, homelessness, health & wellness and hunger.
Season To Share is the primary fundraising campaign for Denver Post Charities. We would like to acknowledge and thank MDC/Richmond American Homes Foundation and Denver Active 20/30 Children’s Foundation for their continued support of Season To Share.
Grantees will be announced in The Denver Post in mid July and made available at SeasonToShare.com.
